SERVICES
Meredith Edwards is a licensed, integrative depth and trauma therapist specializing in complex trauma (C-PTSD), grief and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, and chronic pain (TMS/PPD).
TYPES OF THERAPY
PSYCHODYNAMIC DEPTH THERAPY
Psychodynamic depth therapy is talk therapy that explores the subtle, unconscious, and transpersonal aspects of your human experience. Depth therapy emphasizes a secure and trusting relationship between therapist and client. Together, we’ll soften into the depths of your psyche so that you may arrive at your life with more clarity, insight, and understanding. Depth therapy will help you consciously create your life.
MINDFULNESS-BASED THERAPY
Mindfulness-based therapy uses meditative, introspective strategies to calm anxiety, reduce stress, and regulate your central nervous system. Mindfulness is an ancient practice that promotes presence and peace and releases the reins of the past. I offer creative visualization techniques as a resource for relieving painful pockets of your past and unfolding desired pathways for your present and future.
SOMATIC THERAPY
Somatic therapy is an approach designed to integrate your mind and body to form a more powerful whole. Your thoughts, emotions, and sensations are interconnected and influence each other. For healing to occur, the mind and body must work together. Somatic therapy helps release pain and tension that may affect you on an emotional and physical level.
emdr Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a somatic trauma therapy that helps reduce or alleviate trauma symptoms and responses. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (via eye movements or gentle tactile taps) to process and integrate past traumatic events using a safe, structured, and methodical approach with the step-by-step guidance of the clinician. After EMDR, clients report less or no overwhelm or activation regarding past traumatic events and feel grounded and supported by a foundation of new resources.
Rates and Policies
Session Structure
Sessions are conducted remotely via Zoom. Standard therapeutic practice is one session per week, but in some cases, treatment may occur twice a week. Weekly sessions occur on the same day at the same time every week; your weekly session day/time is reserved for you.
Session Rates
I have a standard fee of $200 per 50-minute session. When longer session times are needed or preferred, the session fee will be prorated. I offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments, so please let me know if you need a reduced fee.
Cancellation Policy
I maintain a 24-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. Because appointment times are reserved for you and unavailable for others to reserve, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment time are charged the full session fee.
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider and do not work directly with any insurance company. However, I am happy to provide you with a “superbill” (a monthly statement of services rendered) if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate,” a document detailing how much your treatment will cost. Under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
